To take full advantage of PUFFIN’s high APY, we recommend using native staking.
If you hold your SOL in a software wallet, the easiest way to stake is through the mobile app or the browser extension of a popular provider such as Phantom, Backpack, Trust Wallet or Solflare.
If you own a hardware (cold) wallet such as Ledger, Keystone or Trezor, its dedicated software allows you to stake. However, you are limited to a small selection of less rewarding validators. Note that software wallets listed above may support signing with your hardware wallet while offering greater flexibility.
If your SOL are held on a custodial platform such as Binance, Kraken, Coinbase, Bybit or Bitgo, the staking options are typically limited and subject to fees or commissions. In this case, we recommend withdrawing the amount you wish to stake with PUFFIN to a hot or cold wallet instead.
